3 Reasons You’re Not Getting Bookings From Instagram

So, you're showing up on the 'Gram, posting your flat whites, your fresh trims, your cute little fairy-lit bar — and yet... crickets.

Let’s fix that.
1. You’re Posting Too Much Product, Not Enough Vibe
Yes, your pancakes are photogenic. Yes, your neon sign is iconic. But nobody books a table just for a pic of your avocado toast.
People book for how your place makes them feel . Think chill Saturday energy, flirty first date vibes, post-work pint release. Start selling the experience, not just the plate.
Pro tip: Show the people enjoying your space, the atmosphere, the behind-the-scenes, the sass, the mess. Vibes = bookings.
2. You’ve Got Zero CTA Energy
You’re out here writing novels in the caption, but never actually telling people what to do.
Don’t assume they’ll figure it out. People are inpatient and not looking to jump through loops. Your content needs to say:“Tap here to book.”“Link in bio.”“DM us to claim.”“Call your nan and bring her too.” Whatever works, just don’t leave 'em guessing.
3. Your Captions Sound Like a Corporate AI in Crisis
"Welcome to our wonderful establishment, where we pride ourselves on..." STOP. Delete it. We’re bored.
Captions should sound like you, or at least like the coolest, chattiest version of you.
Think:✨ “We’re slinging spicy margs and hotter gossip — who’s in?”✨ “The 2pm slump hits different unless you hit us up for coffee.”✨ “Our bar snacks > your ex.”
You’re not writing a CV. You’re trying to get people to hang out with you.
OK, But How Do You Fix It?
Here’s the cheat code:
Add clear, bold CTAs in Stories
Pin your best-performing posts
Speak like a real human (or a mildly chaotic one)
Hire someone to check your blind spots (hi... cough, cough👋)
